The confidentiality and protection of your personal data from unauthorized access is of the utmost importance.
As freelance translator and interpreter residing within the European Union, I am subject to the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). I have therefore implemented the required technical and organizational measures to protect any of your personal data you provide for various purposes, such as requesting quotes or executing a contract. Both your rights as data subject and the legal remedies available to you have been listed hereinafter.

2. Minors
My services are exclusively directed towards adults. The submission of personal data by persons under the age of 18 shall require the consent of either the minor’s parents or legal guardian.
3. Definitions
a) “personal data” means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (hereinafter referred to as the “data subject”); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person;
b) “processing” means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organization, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction;
c) “restriction of processing” means the marking of stored personal data with the aim of limiting their processing in the future;
d) “pseudonymization” means the processing of personal data in such a manner that the personal data can no longer be attributed to a specific data subject without the use of additional information, provided that such additional information is kept separately and is subject to technical and organizational measures to ensure that the personal data are not attributed to an identified or identifiable natural person;
e) “filing system” means any structured set of personal data which are accessible according to specific criteria, whether centralized, decentralized or dispersed on a functional or geographical basis;
f) “controller” means the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data; where the purposes and means of such processing are determined by Union or Member State law, the controller or the specific criteria for its nomination may be provided for by Union or Member State law;
g) “processor” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which processes personal data on behalf of the controller;
h) “recipient” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or another body, to which the personal data are disclosed, whether a third party or not. However, public authorities which may receive personal data in the framework of a particular inquiry in accordance with Union or Member State law shall not be regarded as recipients; the processing of those data by those public authorities shall be in compliance with the applicable data protection rules according to the purposes of the processing;
i) “third party” means a natural or legal person, public authority, agency or body other than the data subject, controller, processor and persons who, under the direct authority of the controller or processor, are authorized to process personal data;
j) “consent” of the data subject means any freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of the data subject’s wishes by which he or she, by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, signifies agreement to the processing of personal data relating to him or her;
k)“personal data breach” means a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of, or access to, personal data transmitted, stored or otherwise processed;
4. Collection and Storage of Personal Data Nature and Purposes of Use
a) Visit to my Website
Upon your visit to my website www.boutiquebrennecke.com the browser of your device will automatically transmit data to the server of my website. This data will be stored temporarily in a so-called log file. The following data will be collected, stored and subsequently erased automatically:

The data referred to hereinabove will be processed by the controller for the following purposes:

The legal basis for the data processing shall be point f of Article 6(1) s. 1 GDPR. The purposes listed hereinabove shall serve to substantiate the legitimate interests of the controller. However, under no circumstances will the collected data be used for any attempt to personally identify you.
Cookies
In addition to the data mentioned above, cookies are stored on your computer when you use my website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your hard disk, assigned to the browser you are using and through which certain information flows to the site that sets the cookie. Cookies can neither execute programs nor transmit viruses.
b) Use of the Contact Form
You may direct any questions and queries you might have towards me using the contact form provided on my website. However, you will be required to provide your e-mail address in order for me to know whom to reply. Any other information may be entered voluntarily. The processing of your data for the purpose of contacting me is based on your voluntarily given consent in accordance with point a of Article 6(1) s. 1 GDPR. The personal data collected through your use of the contact form will be deleted after completion of your request.
5. Data Disclosure
Your personal data will not be disclosed to any third party except for the purposes listed hereinafter. Personal data will be disclosed to third parties for the following purposes only:
a) you have given your express consent pursuant to point a of Article 6(1) s. 1 GDPR;
b) personal data will be disclosed under point f of Article 6(1) s. 1 GDPR for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims only, provided, however, no compelling legitimate grounds exist to prevent such disclosure;
c) disclosure pursuant to point c of Article 6(1) s. 1 GDPR is required under applicable law; and
d) any such disclosure is admissible under applicable legislation and required for the performance of a contract with you in accordance with point b of Article 6(1) s. 1 GDPR.
6. Your Rights as Data Subject
a) Right of Access: Pursuant to Article 15 GDPR you have the right to request access to all your personal data processed by the controller. You have the right to inquire about the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data concerned, the recipients or categories of recipient to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed, in particular recipients in third countries or international organizations, where possible, the envisaged period for which the personal data will be stored, or, if not possible, the criteria used to determine that period, the existence of the right to request from the controller rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing of personal data concerning the data subject or to object to such processing, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, where the personal data are not collected from the data subject, any available information as to their source, the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling, and, at least in those cases, meaningful information about the logic involved, as well as the significance and the envisaged consequences of such processing for the data subject.
b) Right to Rectification: Pursuant to Article 16 GDPR you have the right to obtain from the controller without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data.
c) Right to Erasure: Pursuant to Article 17 GDPR you have the right to request the erasure of your personal data. However, the preceding sentence shall not apply where the processing of your personal data is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims.
d) The Right to Restriction of Processing: Pursuant to Article 18 GDPR you have the right to demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data where you contest the accuracy of the personal data, the processing is unlawful but you are opposing the erasure of your data, and the controller no longer needs the personal data for the purposes of the processing, but they are required by you for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or you have objected to the processing of your data in accordance with Article 21 GDPR.
e) Right to Data Portability: Pursuant to Article 20 GDPR you have the right to receive the personal data, which you have provided to the controller, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and you have the right to transmit those data to another controller.
f) Pursuant to Article 7(3) GDPR you have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data at any time. Withdrawing your consent will prevent the controller from any future processing of your personal data.
g) Right to Lodge a Complaint with a Supervisory Authority: Pursuant to Article 77 GDPR you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the EU Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or of my registered address.
7. Right to Object
Where your personal data is being processed for legitimate interests in accordance with point f of Article 6(1) s. 1 GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Article 21 GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation or to object to direct marketing. 8. Data Security
Moreover, I have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from accidental and intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, and unauthorized access. The security measures are being updated according to the latest technological developments.
9. Current Version and Amendments to the Privacy Policy
This privacy policy is currently valid as of February 2020. The privacy policy is subject to change due to the development of both this website and my services or due to changes in regulatory or statutory provisions. The current version of the present privacy policy will be available on this website. You may access and print it as required.
